Seminar to explore tenancy issues

On Feb. 27, professional development portal CPD On-Time will offer a seminar on ‘Bed Bug Bites and Other Tenancy Matters,’ featuring presentations on interesting cases involving bed bugs, hoarders and other landlord and tenant issues.

Speakers Douglas Levitt, Christina Nastas, Chris Surowiak, Jaclyn Solomon, Monica Decock and Kathleen Lovett will discuss such topics as how to deal with self-represented parties, addressing mental health and personal safety issues, when a landlord wants a property for its own use, tenant applications, the pitfalls and successes of small claims court, and the procedure to appeal.

The event is accredited for one hour of professionalism content and four hours and 20 minutes of substantive content.

Bed Bug Bites and Other Tenancy Matters will run from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the Monte Carlo Inn Airport Suites, located at 7035 Edwards Blvd. in Mississauga, or via webcast.
